Ceiling Fan Light Fixture Wiring Diagram How Do I Wire A Ceiling Fan/light Combo Fixture On Two Separate Switches (one For Fan, One For Light)?

How do I wire a ceiling fan/light combo fixture on two separate switches (one for fan, one for light)? - ceiling fan light fixture wiring diagram

I recently discovered in the attic of energy into a new track, finally, you can ceiling fans in every room. Now that I have a power source in the attic, I'm trying to figure out how come the first fan / light effectively connected. I have a little drama:

1) No match existing ceiling in the room and switch now controls an outlet on a circuit different from that expected as a fan. I thought about removing the "switch" the release of the ever so hot ... Can I do this?

2) What is the wiring of the fan / light, I would be another change to a double gang box to add a switch controls the fan and the other controls the light. How can I do if the source from the ground?

I am somewhat new to this so that a detailed explanation, or a circuit diagram is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You need to install a roof box, good for the fan to install. You need to install a 2 "x4" or 2 "x6" piece of the bridge between the bar and bolt the box on the bridge or install a fan bar combination of cash.

If you add not only on two gang box new options like you can with a double-side switch that matches your existing control box.

With the change from, remove and pull the existing switches. Both son may withdraw from this twisted wire nutted and registered ... Thus, your Hot Water Outlet all the time. Let the son of the curved surfaces.

Then take a piece of 12-3 or 14-3 (makes code if the local 14-3) since the switch to the fan housing to the ceiling, then take a piece of 12-2 or 14.2 of the box your new ceiling fan energy in the attic.

In the switch box, connect the black gold screws and the other in turn connected to connect the red wire to the base money and money is the white wire to otherERMINAL (before the white wire, wrap a piece of black tape around the wire to 1 "in the stripped), then go screw a unit in the box and replace the lid. If you do not want either the fan or the light button, remember that the wire (red or white) used to manage more than money. Connect the ground cable of 12.3 and 14.3 of the green terminal on the switch.

Mount your fan switch and connect the upper leg (red or white) to the power (blue) or the fan (black wire) and the colored wire is the switch to the other colored wire fan left to look after you wrap a piece of black tape to the white wire from the switch.

Then, connect the fan to know its source of energy in the attic, and finally all the grounds and possibly the black wire to black transition of power.

After your fan-cable-box and have been found, close together, the reasons that all together the whites and blacks, with their power attic, turn"ER" and retest the line. You may have to go through the appeal turns on the fan and light to a better place to be found.

Put the pieces of flat black and white, that the change is identified in the registration phase, and said that the cable has developed from a neutral, under voltage wire.

If all goes well, almost everything in its place and enjoy your new fan.

Good luck ...

Toilet is right
I would a little different. Run the power box roof (you have) 3 ROMEX run a wire (black, white, red and bare) copper, the location of new SW. The size should be the same as we ran into the attic.
How old is the house?
The box ceiling fan must be securely fastened to the rafters. If there is a discussion (or close enough to) the center of his wife to a number of Master 2000, a plastic box that you can clip on the fan beam. You can use the wood in the box support when they get close enough to where you want the bracket go.To black wire to the white beach of power to SW. (by the code of the white wire must be colored with black marker or tape) will be highlighted. sw in the white box that now (marking) is 2-wireseach wire goes to 1 SW. The black wire goes to SW 1 and the red goes to the other. Pigtail drain wire and the wire is the green screw.

In the white fan of white power light is red to black fan fan

YouYou can contact me via e-mail with questions

The S-box can be changed for a group of 2, when it will cut sawzal to a metal part around the nails too. This part is where you can do damage to your walls ..

1. Yes, you can remove the switch and let the hot water outlet all the time.
2. Run your hot wire to the double-switch box access to. Then it escapes any term of 2 son short. Wil you need 3-driver to get your ceiling fan, I suggest, 12 / 3 with soil. Connect a flexible cable at the beginning of a switch for the fan and the other on a switch. Leave the bottom with the red wire goes to light, and from the bottom of the switch with the other black goes to the fan. Hook all the white son together, and every son of the soil together. Fan / light combo have a black wire of one of its cable to be called together, and a blue wire to the other. Make sure that the table is a ceiling fan installed.
